So true, so true. So sad. The Internet is no longer a source of knowledge, any topic, interest or academic pursuit for anyone and everyone. Instead it is indeed a place to measure one's own self worth, against other people's lives. But it wasn't sudden.
For as much as the current 'era' of the Internet is somewhat interesting, I really do long for as little as 10 years back.

By the same token, motorcyclists are attaching more devices to their handlebars and helmets, and it makes me wonder if they're more interested in gadgetry than riding itself.
